A talented pupil from Monmouth Prep School has been crowned the winner of Natasha Asghar’s 2023 Christmas Card competition.
Seb Shepherd, aged 11, submitted a festive animal themed card as part of the South East Wales politician’s annual festive competition.
All schools in the region were invited to come up with creative Christmas card designs, and Natasha was impressed with all the wonderful entries.
Cards featuring Seb’s design has been sent to a range of dignitaries including The King, Prime Minister and First Minister.
Talking about his design, Seb said: "My Christmas card design includes some of my favourite animals which are endangered. I have Christmas wishes that soon they will no longer be endangered species."
Natasha visited Monmouth Prep School this week to present Seb with prizes, a certificate and copies of his card.
Natasha said: “Picking this year’s winner was an incredibly hard task as I received some amazing entries from schools across the region.
“Seb’s design was unique and colourful, and he really put his heart into this design. You can tell it means a lot to him.
“Huge congratulations to Seb and all those who entered. Thank you to everyone for taking part in this year’s competition.”
