
A world-leading company creating first and business class seats for major airlines around the globe was the latest destination of choice for Natasha Asghar MS.
The South East Wales politician visited Safran Seats, which has three bases in Cwmbran and one in Newport, for a tour and to find out more about the impressive company.
Natasha saw first-hand some of Safran Seats’ market-leading technology including Euphony - an award-winning headset free audio solution designed and developed in Wales.
During the tour, Natasha was also given an insight into the investment being made by the company in training, digitalisation, and facilities.
Natasha also met with some of the company’s apprentices and talked about the training scheme, which will be doubling in size this year.
Safran Seats employs more than 800 highly skilled people in the UK with nearly 5,000 employees in five countries.
Natasha, who is also Wales’ Shadow Minister for Technology, met with senior staff at Safran Seats including CEO Veronique Bardelmann.

“To have such a world-leading company right on our doorstep in South East Wales is truly amazing and it was great to get an insight Safran Seats.
“These world-leading products are being designed and developed just up the road in Cwmbran and then provided to airlines around the world – which is a fantastic success story for the region.
“As well as the great work being carried out, I was particularly pleased to find out more about the apprenticeship scheme on offer and meet with some of those going through it at the moment.
“I am very much looking forward to working closely with Safran Seats on a range of projects and issue.”
