Labour and Plaid Cymru politicians have backed plans to increase the size of the Welsh Parliament by adding an extra 36 politicians, a move which is set to cost the taxpayer upwards of £120m.
My Welsh Conservative colleagues and I have vehemently opposed these expansion plans because we believe Wales needs more doctors, nurses, dentists and teachers - not politicians.
I called on the Welsh Government several times to hold a referendum over these plans to give the people of Wales a say - yet they refused and pushed ahead regardless.
