The Welsh Government, along with their coalition partners Plaid Cymru, are pushing ahead with plans to introduce a tourism tax in Wales.
Taxing the tourism industry is simply not the right thing to do as we rebuild from the pandemic and face ever-growing cost of living pressures.
We need to be supporting the sector and encouraging people to holiday in Wales, not punishing them and deterring visitors.
My Welsh Conservative colleagues and I will continue fighting against these controversial tourism tax plans, which will leave livelihoods hanging in the balance.

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru, ynghyd â'u partneriaid cydweithio, Plaid Cymru, yn bwrw ymlaen â chynlluniau i gyflwyno treth twristiaeth yng Nghymru.
Yn syml, nid trethu'r diwydiant twristiaeth yw'r peth iawn i'w wneud wrth i ni ailadeiladu ar ôl y pandemig a wynebu costau byw cynyddol.
Mae angen i ni fod yn cefnogi'r sector ac yn annog pobl i fynd ar wyliau yng Nghymru, peidio â'u cosbi a pheidio â rhwystro ymwelwyr.
Bydd fy nghydweithwyr yn y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig a minnau’n parhau i frwydro yn erbyn y cynlluniau treth twristiaeth dadleuol hyn, a fydd yn peryglu bywoliaethau.
